Finnship Marine Consultants Ltd. is a wholly independent company providing a comprehensive range of high quality marine services in consultancy, superintendence, surveys & inspections and project marine engineering for -and on behalf of prospective clients worldwide,including Shipowners, Ship managers, Oil Majors, Charterers, Marine Operators, Flag States -and Port Authorities, P&I Clubs and Marine Underwriters.

The company was founded and is fully operated by Mr. Aimo Ilmari Kostiainen as CEO and Managing Director in charge, who holds a valid Chief Engineer Motor & Steam unlimited KW propulsion power STCW III/2 Certificate of Competency with a M.Sc. degree in Marine Engineering.Click Here

He has worked over 40 years in Global Marine Industry, including 27 years of ´´hands-on´´ sea-going experiences as First/-Chief Engineer onboard Cargo,- Container, -Car, -Cool Liners, Chemical, -Product, -Crude Oil Tankers and OBO, -LPG, -LNG, -VLC Carriers with many new building  and vessel Dry Docking repair work assignments worldwide.

Furthermore, his continuous career path includes 15 years of onshore based assignments as Project Manager, Fleet Technical Superintendent /- Manager, Class -and Flag States Surveyor positions.

All of his above-mentioned working experiences and educational background with his everlasting love of and passion for technical ship management and marine engineering have created a strong foundation for this company, with the policy and priority always being the client´s interest and satisfaction.
